Simpson - Hybrid S

Simpson Hybrid devices stand out as the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraints available on the market, providing protection during front, offset, and side impacts. Crafted for easy exit from the car without the risk of entanglement in other gear, the device is positioned on the back/shoulders, contrasting with the old HANS-type devices that sit over the chest or collarbone. Additionally, they offer maximum comfort and maneuverability.

The Simpson Hybrid S is an FIA 8858-2010 approved head and neck restraint constructed from carbon fiber, safeguarding against front and side impacts. With the lowest profile in the industry, the Hybrid S moves with you for swift entry and exit from the race car. The strap design enhances maneuverability, and the device sits on your back/shoulders, not over the chest or collarbone like the old HANS-type device. This design fosters better contact with the car and keeps the driver/co-driver more securely fixed to the seat.

The Hybrid S comes ready to fit onto existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick-release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors replace the original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick-release tethers/straps are included with the M61 - Quick Release Option.

HANS - Post Anchor: These tethers enable the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets that already have standard fitment HANS anchors (or the correct approval to retrofit anchors). Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher.

M61 - Quick Release: These tethers allow the driver to release the restraint with a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet. Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher. Ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently (i.e., between stages).
